Cedar Ivy seeks to acquire family-owned or founder-owned companies in the Greater Cincinnati region with the intent to own long-term. Ideal candidates are companies who need a succession plan to transact, whether for retirement, estate planning, or their next life adventure. The geographic focus is intentional, so we can be involved in the business operations and active in the community. 

Focused on an Entrepreneurship through Acquisition (EtA) strategy via a leverage buyout using self-funded and committed capital (LPs), Cedar Ivy is not backed by a PE fund or institutional investors. We believe this provides flexibility for each opportunity and aligns us strongly with the family-oriented culture cultivated at most family-owned or founder-owned small businesses. 

Cedar Ivy operates as a holding company with a long-term approach and no intention of selling. With ownership, management, and operations experience, we are able to pursue a variety of industries. As active owners, each merger and acquisition have the flexibility to be structured to accommodate the seller’s objective and timeline.
